I always forget how amazing springtime in Copenhagen is. It's a surprise every year, even though this is my 11th spring in Copenhagen. I get all bubbly and happy when I feel the warmth of the sun for the first time since winther. Today I walked from work without my coat. Total bliss.

It'a also my first spring as a full-time-employee. It's pretty tough! I have to sit at my messy desk and look at that amazing sun filling the blue sky.

Finally I could go out into the beautiful day and meet my favourite sister. We went shopping in H&M and I picked up some appropriate spring-stuff - some blue pants, a t-shirt with some extra love on it and the most amazing, striped blouse! I can't wait to go out tomorrow in my new shirt and some pink nail polish to match.

I love my city - and even more when it's finally spring again.

I.NEED.THIS

... amazing iphone cover!

I love my iphone so much and I've been feeling guilty that I haven't knit/crocheted/embroidered something for it to show my true love.

This is the solution. Now to figure out how to get my hands on it TODAY.

Works In Progress (WIPS)

I spend almost all my freetime knitting (and a good portion of my workday thinking about knitting).

Right now I'm working on two sweaters - one for myself and one for my mom.

The one for my mom is a design by one of my favourite knitting designers Helga Isager. Her designs are modern, elegant and she has such an eye for detail. I've been wanting to make this design, Granite, for the longest time, but I've had a sneaking suspicion that it wouldn't look too good on me. It's A-shaped which is no good for my big hips...

But after having knit 3 (!) sweaters for myself since January 1st 2012 I thought maybe I should start sharing the knitted love instead og just piling it up in my closet.

So now I'm knitting it for my mom. She always appreciates what I make and show off to everyone she knows = she is definitely knit-worthy!

So far I've completed the first sleeve and started on the back - here's how it looks so far

I'm knitting with one of my favourite combinations of yarn - one thread Holst Supersoft and one thread Isager Alpaca 1.

I'm also working on a cardigan for myself - it's Audrey in Unst by Gudrun Johnston. A Ravelry-classic and fantastic design.

I'm making it with Wollmeise 80/20 twin in this crazy almost psychedelic yellow/green called Zarte Knospe. Pefect for spring!!

Blog

My dear friend and SIL Elaina suggested that I get a blog, which made me think about it again. For the longest time I thought - no one would be interested in reading about my life. But since I actually spend quite some time everyday reading other peoples blogs - maybe there is something to it?

Well, I'll give it a try.

It will probably be one big mess of english and danish - knitting, cooking, taking pictures (like so many other blogs) and this&that from my life.

I hope you enjoy!
